June Meeting
At the June meeting we had low attendance but we had some great discussions. One thing discussed was pairing up with the Delaware support group to get some speakers. The first opportunity is June 19 at the house of Molly King in Delaware Ohio. This is a session about siblings of children with special needs and the issues and difficulties they face. The presenter will be Stacy Levin LISW. This discussion will focus on some of the common questions, opportunities and concerns of the typically developing brothers and sisters. Ideas will be shared for meeting the needs of all family members.

We also discussed many ideas for raising funds for The Autism Connection. Our funds are used to pay for child care during meetings, books videos and other training materials. Michelle and the staff of the autism connection would like to be able to bring trainings and workshops to this area so that parents and professionals do not have to travel so far to receive quality training.
Some of the things that have been suggested are a sort of carnival with face painting, raffles, games, etc, a yard sale, a Los Vegas night etc. we are open to any suggestions that any of you might have.
We also have to continually thank our sponsor from the community. With out them it would be difficult for our group to function.
